On August 11, 2026, CommPro launched The Trusted Advisor Initiative. This six-month thought leadership series that will focus on the strategic role of communication. The initiative will highlight ideas and insights from Logos president Helio Fred Garcia, Logos Senior Advisor Katie Garcia, and James E. Lukaszewski on leadership, trust, influence and what it really means to become a trusted strategic advisor.

Over the coming months, The Trusted Advisor Initiative will feature original columns, interviews, and excerpts from two books: Influencing Leaders: The Seven Disciplines of the Trusted Strategic Advisor by James E. Lukaszewski and Helio Fred Garcia (out now); and The Power of Communication: Skills to Build Trust, Inspire Loyalty, and Lead Effectively, Second Edition (to be published in November) by Helio Fred Garcia and Katie Garcia.

The series began with an excerpt from Influencing Leaders on the table so many seek to earn a seat at. Lukaszewski and Fred Garcia’s argument: The table is a myth.

This is an interesting initiative highlighting the importance of building trust and stronger relationships in the communications industry. I like the focus on becoming a reliable advisor rather than simply providing services, as meaningful partnerships depend on understanding clients and their goals. It will be interesting to see how the Trusted Advisor Initiative develops and influences professional communication. The emphasis on credibility and presentation also brings to mind iconic styles such as the john travolta white suit.
