Maida Kalić Zheng is a seasoned public affairs strategist, communicator, and counselor, whose broad expertise was honed as one of the most senior communication advisors at multiple levels of command in the United States Marine Corps.
Maida is an Advisor at Logos Consulting Group and a Senior Fellow at the Logos Institute for Crisis Management and Executive Leadership, where she helps corporate leaders maximize presence and enhance communication skills to become more effective in managing both their reputations and relationships. She also serves as Chief of Client Services.
A Marine Corps veteran originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maida has advised leaders from numerous branches of the Joint Forces in their messaging, content management, and presentation style.
Maida’s broad and deep experience coaching the multiple tiers of military leadership has developed her ability to craft effective narratives for both internal and external stakeholders and constituents in diverse situations, ranging from global issues and crisis management to organizational change, as well as other sensitive matters.
Maida’s experience includes a wide variety of communication, persuasion, and influence-based skill sets: media engagement, presentation and speech delivery, marketing, operational planning, decision making, and team building. She has worked with all categories of media outlets, as well as multiple industries representing a variety of enterprises including government, public interest, and law enforcement. Her purview in these areas has spanned from local to global.
Maida also has a comprehensive background in public affairs, public relations, communications campaign planning, and stakeholder analysis, derived from conducting both international and domestic operations while serving in the Marine Corps.
The recipient of multiple awards for outstanding performance and professionalism, she is proudest of the recognition she received from the Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina, which acknowledged her as one the awardees of the 2019 strong women leaders and for her distinguished service to the United States as a Bosnian refugee.
Finally, Maida also coaches volleyball in Alexandria, VA, where she resides presently.
