Logos Institute Senior Fellow Anthony Ewing has been named to the United Nations Global Compact Human Rights Working Group. The Human Rights Working Group, chaired by Mary Robinson, former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and President of Ireland, provides strategic input to the Global Compact’s human rights work. Anthony joins the Working Group as an academic stakeholder in the UN Global Compact - a policy initiative for businesses worldwide that support ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
Anthony teaches transnational business and human rights at Columbia Law School and has written about the Global Compact Principles in guides for business including: Understanding the Global Compact Human Rights Principles, and Implementing the Global Compact Human Rights Principles, in Embedding Human Rights in Business Practice (2004).
